Is AOL blocking some web pages?

[link to this post]

Can you please check out if you can access this web page:
https://www.capitaloneonline.co.uk/
becase since about Sept last year, only this message is displayed:
"Web site exception encountered. Please check the URL and try again."
Neither CapitalOne nor AOL could help to solve this problem.

how about if you enter 194.150.182.81 directly in to the browser?

If that dont work, it is probably your mtu. There is not a lot of things that it can be.

No change.

Tried MTU 1492 and 1450 (btw, which is the correct one for AOL?)

Try 1400 as I found secure sites like online banking will only work on that setting with AOL personally.

Not sure what else to suggest. I am on aol llu (smpf) bt landline aol broadband and it works fine here. Some people say it is best to make your mtu the same on both the router & pc. Good luck.

It always seems to be the important websites that you can not access. My mate moved to france, but still works in england and he can not access the ryan air website.....it has screwed his travel plans up big time.

p.s. have you tried 1400, 1430 or 1432 mtu. might be worth a shot.

I have a solution. Give me your capitalone online username & password and i will let you know how much money you have in your account ;oP

All jokes aside, i do not know what else to suggest. Have you got an old modem / router that you can try? Are you using llu or btmax?

Can you access the site via a proxy server? Not sure if you will be able to log in via a proxy though.
