Increased latency around peak times

[link to this post]

Anyone else experiencing higher pings around peak times? The main place I see it is with World of Warcraft but it can also be seen pinging bbc.co.uk, jolt.co.uk etc.

Unfortunately I don't think this is just at the exchange and goes a little deeper as mine has been showing as green for months and months now. I have no idea who I should talk to about this, calling up support is just going to get me nowhere with this I think.

Here's some traceroutes to show what I mean:

Yeah i have been having same problem and i have been documenting it because i know for a fact they will try and fob you off that its your fault or something .

I have noticed this problem for at least two weeks but didn't start documenting it till yesterday.

Also if someone fobs you off every IP that seems to get a high ping is some way or form part of aol/talktalk. just do a whois for all the ips that have a high ping.

Very lastly before pictures it always seems to be at about 8pm till about 11pm usually.

I think it is a routing issue for the isp more than anything but they will not change unless enough people complain

Here is a link of information i have so far.

Ah good to see I'm not alone on this, it seems to be getting worse the past few days, Sunday was particularly bad starting at 5pm and tonight it only started to go back to normal at midnight.

Are you a heavy downloader? At first I thought it might be because of that but I'm not so sure now and it looks to be just an overloaded router some place.

I just hope they notice it sooner rather than later.

i dont think so because it would only decrease your speed at peak times if i remember rightly. just wish i was the account holder because i would just phone them up and tell them about this .
