I'd already got software that allows me to rip the occasional DVD, I got it via here.

That link now points to using Handbrake here. Haven't tried that approach, must do so though.

The thread is over 5 years old - I must admit until I looked at your posting history I was convinced you were a spammer getting ready to spam the forums. I am assuming that isn't the case but odd to necro a thread that old.
