Merry Xmas and thanks

Back in August 09 I was complaining of a regular daily disconnect and received some helpful advice fixing the problem.

Just to let you know, my connection's now been up for a solid 96 days without any loss of sync or framing issues.

For this fact, I think I owe many thanks in particular to Nredwood, RobertoS and John_ON so thanks again, I hope you all have a good time for the festive season.

Cheers smile

Interesting remote vendor, isn't it usually BDCM?

Cheers Nredwood, I would be hopping mad if I was losing connection due to the selfish needs of others xmas tree decorations. Who needs silly Xmas tree lights? Bah! Humbug.

Thanks again and best wishes for 2010! May your neighbour's lights fail or somesuch and BT roll out a nice fibre optic cable to your door early! smile

Huh! frown

Following a recent voice fault which also clobbered the broadband stability, which was traced to a problem between the cabinet and the exchange, and several other people had similar effects, I seem to be on a new pair on that route.

Around 700kbps lower sync, which is about 10% slower. And a bit less stable than it was before the fault.

Looks like that will be as good as it gets until fibre rolls along. Then I'm 500m from the cabinet.
