Nothing we didn't already know.

They "learned" a lot from the trial but didn't bother to elaborate.

They're going to use GEA where they have an exchange presence.

The end product is going to cost a fair amount (due to Be's unlimited/no throttling approach)

Everything is riding on O2 agreeing to stump up the cash and until (if) they do nothing will proceed.

IDNET Home Fibre Plus BT Infinity

Yep, stated as much as "Pro + supplement" which will take it way over BT Infinity's price point.

Pro is £27/month - and BT Infinity option 2 is £25/m - so anything over £30/month, and I can't see why anyone would go for it.

I don't think its O2 (ie UK) stumping up the cash, it will be back to Telefonica HQ in Spain. I also wonder if money is the reason for all the delays - and it might have been forthcoming earlier if it wasn't for the banking "issues".

It's worth £40 per month in my opinion.

I think it will be significantly over £30 a month.

Yes, I'd pay £40/m but then I was on ntl's cablemodem trial in 1999 paying £40/m for 512k smile

I suspect if it is £40/m that BE might get 10,000 subscribers, maximum. Would that be enough to justify the payment for the infrastructure?

BT is having problems getting 90k users with an extremely cheap service frown

The generic UK expects internet for £5 a month, the "talktalk" type marketing frown

BE would also seek to make money from fibre through the wholesale market which is likely more profitable.

Oliver.
