BBC akamai Streaming still not fixed then?

BBC1 LIVE no bandwidth buffer

Shortly afterwards it switched to limelight but not better after around 1min it stopped giving the insufficient bandwidth message, Did they not say that it would be fixed by end of April,? which today is the last day time is up, probably another date slipped by the wayside next they will announce that it will take until the end of next month

I see several people complaining about iPlayer off and on over time but have never yet had a problem myself. So does this suggest that iPlayer does not likes some user's kit in the same way that some ISP's broadband service only works reliably with Broadcom based routers?

Either that, or more likely that different BE users on different BE VLANs are seeing varying performance due to capacity issues on their various VLANs.

Oliver.

I recently moved from BE to XILO (Still using BE wholesale connection at exchange). All buffering in iplayer/lovefilm has completely gone and feels alot smoother.

If your looking to move I would highly recommend them....

It couldn't even if it wanted to, why , because there are lots of pieces of hardware between the end user and the bbc's hardware, that of various peering partners and isp's networks ,

So the receiving hardware wouldn't even see the routers mac address let alone be able to determine it's chipset brand, But it may know everyones PC Mac addresses But that would be dependent on Adobe plash player, I.P addresses it filters Because if your IP is listed as being outside the UK it will not allow you to watch content

You are taking my analogy too literally.

If you applied less contempt and more logical analysis to your problems you may start getting somewhere.

I suspect its what affects my Win XP updates in my Virtual Machines - my Win7 machine is fine. I finally patched the XP VM machine by VPNing to work, which is very slow but it completed.
