You are talking about a RG11 coax... this will have little effect on your broadband performace. I have got 2 RG 6 cables and an RG11 feeding all the boxes and stuff in my house. It is all down to your distance from the cab. It is unusual for an ex-nynex build network to have many customers connected via RG11 compared with telewest built networks which have large numbers of customers fed by RG11. It was usual for every street to have 1 or 2 cabinets on a nynex network compared with 1 for every 2-3 streets on nynex.

In reply to a post by MrSaffron:
Looks fairly normal for a virgin connection, remember what others are doing in your area will have a big impact, particularly if you have lots of P2P uploaders in the area

Thats why they have low traffic sharpe on uploads? http://www.virginmedia.com/images/STM_30Mb_above_800...

Now: Virgin Media XXL 100 Mbts Download 5 Mbits Upload
Previously had Sky Broadband Unlimited - 6 Mbits Download 768kbps Upload
Sky Fiber Broadband - NOT YET Been told 55Mbits Download 13Mbits Upload Max i can get
