Set Up BQM

I tried to search the forum but couldn't find an answer.

I'd like to set up BQM to monitor my Virgin Media connection.

I am using the SUper Hub in modem mode and a Buffalo AirStation Nfiniti WHR-G300N as my router.

Can someone point me in the direction of a guide for what to allow on the router to get this working.

Have a look through the web interface. You'll need to enable ping/ICMP response.

Zadeks is correct in that you will need to enable ping responses from your router, however, you will also need to have a static IP address to make use of the service.

AFAIK that is only available with their business plans.

You may get lucky and have a sticky dynamic IP address but you will need to change your BQM any time it changes.

I seem to have a very sticky IP but BQM seems to work sporadically.

I couldn't find the specific setting for ICMP but did untick the 'block ping from internet' in my router set up.
