TBB monitoring in KBps rather than kbps

[link to this post]

Isn't there an option to in TBB that shows stats in KiloBytes instead of KiloBits?
Specially in the meter where download upload speed is show.

That's really shocking...
It is a very useful feature. I recommend and request to please add it into tbb.

The tool reports throughput in the standard communications convention of bits per second.

Where we do file tests we report in both units.

Yeah this is the reason i use net-meter instead.

I cannot believe they have STILL not got the option to show in Kb after all these years. Rubbish!

Of course, it should be kbps not Kbps - k is 'kilo', K is Kelvin (i.e. temperature above absolute zero)

2Mb/s? Not in my lifetime! (Nearly true Dec 2011)

Why - can you not do the simple sums?????

Measuring the bit rate is what a speed tester does. The transfer rate in Bytes per second depends on the protocol used overheads etc which are something totally different.

BT Infinity 2 - IP profile 77 / 20 - super fast!
Previously BE Unlimited - 21,000 Download 1,200 Upload but then moved house - 6,500 Down, 1Mb/s up - gutted!
Ex <n>ildram , been to SKY MAX - 15,225 Download

I always have to divide the numbers by 8 and they keep changing per second....
I learned the tables in school upto 10 and now I know the table of 8 upto 400

What ungrateful so & so's you "anonymous" posters are. This service is provided free of charge for us, and all you can do is whine and be rude. Why don't you grow up, go away and get a life. TBB doesn't need your input of snide remarks. Pathetic.

You use a computer, but you don't know your 8 times table? Bizarre!
