Monitor wanted

[link to this post]

Hi expert guys
I am going abroad for few months and i would like to use a similar monitor as the TBB (to record a foreign adsl line)

Is anything out even if i have to pay a small fee for it ??? i am aware only for a program call it plotter but the premium version where will record & jitter is lot of money for few months away

Ping test etc is not important as can use tracert and winmtr

Thanks

Thanks for reply ... Greece ... the TBB will create about 70 ms green line thickness ( and that was correct when pinged their servers from down there was giving around 60 ms) while with so much green (minimum latency) will not show if are any small packet loss issue

example
this is what i got when i tried for a week (when i was last time there)
http://i1167.photobucket.com/albums/q631/babis3g/con...

and this is my current VM
http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/share/b62067c0130...

Notice the small packet loss from VM ... will not detect it down there due to the high green latency

Thanks

It'll detect the packet loss fine regardless of latency though if the packet loss is an 'issue' it'll be apparent without TBB meter.

MaxDSL - goes as fast as it can and doesn't read the line checker first.

At VM line yes ... is very little packet loss ... my guess is because some work is going in the area because they just added a second upstream channel ...

But as you see the ADSL line by OTEnet conn-x (is a caped package at 2mb) ... is really clear if you bear in mind the TBB is pinging all the way UK - Greece & back
The blue jitter at early morning was watching online movies (at low quality of course) & youtube ... the rest of the time the monitor was quiet because out for swimming, eating and relaxing by the sea instead at pc ... hehehehe ...lovely days

OK guys THANKS All for your time replying ... i appreciate other people spending time for me

If there is not any other similar software even for a small fee, of course i will use the TBB monitor even if has so high green minimum latency & is free

You can get 45ms latency on a BT Business Broadband line in North East Scotland - nevermind Greece.

and for a laugh, a cable service in North Carolina, USA:

James BT Infinity 2 19/09/2012 - Speeds 49 / 8.2 Mbps - Sync 53 / 9.5 Mbps @ 470m
