!00% Packet loss but Traceroute works fine

I've just attempted to set up my first BQM graph. I'm currently sat at 100% packet loss, but using http://www.thinkbroadband.com/tools/traceroute.html I can get a valid response. Is this expected, as the FAQs imply that if this works then the BQM should work fine?

I've tried looking for ICMQ Echo allow on my router settings but it doesn't seem to be there. I'm using a Virgin SuperHub 3 in modem mode and a TP-LINK Archer C50 AC1200 router.

Does a valid traceroute response mean that BQM should also work or are there other things that might mean traceroute works but BQM doesn't?

Normally should work if an inbound trace route works.

Have you got someone to ping your IP address from outside.

Very likely you need to edit settings on the TP-Link to allow ICMP Echo throw, or turn off DoS protection.
