Not on the consumer versions, apparently business version will respond to pings I've heard.

You can on the Smart Hub by using the DMZ and have that point to a firewalled Machine only responding to ICMP Pings etc.

But due to being paranoid I ended up getting a Linksys WRT 3200 ACM which works great.
