Infinity line statistic details

[link to this post]

I had my install today, and the BT guy said I was topped up at 40Mb/s using his tester... However it seems I'm a notch lower than that in real testing against most online speed testers... ~38 down, ~8 up..

I can't seem to find my way in the Infinity modem; is there a way to get real line statistics and sync speed out of it ? I'm no speaking of the HH3 (I;m not using it) but the actual PPPoE modem...

The highest IP Profile is 38717kbps. The upstream IP profile will be 10Mbps on your line, the same as the sync.

Fantastic, these guys have done a great job of hacking that device back to non-clipped mode!

38 is about the best.

Just like on the old 8Mbit ADSL, the best you'd get was a little lower. Obviously as speeds increase this "gap" becomes a bit more noticeable.
