BT Vision and Sky channels

[link to this post]

Elsewhere this has just been posted:-
Vision give you the ability to have some Sky channels by subscription if you want them ....
I'm considering a move to Infinity, on cost grounds alone, and also have a problem with F1 going to Sky, which I'm not going to get purely for that.

If that channel (when it comes?) will be available it could be a clincher, but I'd be surprised if anyone knows yet whether it will be. Anyone got any idea please?

The new Sky F1 channel will definitely not be available on BT Vision I'm afraid. It's been confirmed by BT here:

It will only be on Sky and Virgin.

I can recommend Infinity though, the best connection I've ever had.

Thanks. I didn't expect it would be, but worth an ask smile.

Not a deal-breaker either.

Choice is stay with IDNet, or the 40GB, or Plusnet 40GB. Cashback is another factor. Going to redo the calculations again today, but a quick check the other day looked like I could save £100 over the year.

A few questions I will be asking BT though, as I already have FTTC. Judging by the fact whenever we have had a cold call from them about it, most of the callers don't even know you can get FTTC from anyone else except VM frown.

Eh? VM? That's sort of FTTP, isn't it? You mean BT?

In fact VM isn't even FTTC smile. It's just convenient/lazy to call it that. It is FTTN(ode), and coax from there to the cabinets, and onward to the premises.
