[link to this post]

Hi,

Been a bit sluggish since midday or so ... here's tbb results

down up
02/02/12 21:55 Thu 471 Kbps 4661 Kbps
02/02/12 21:53 Thu 1524 Kbps 4585 Kbps

and some comparisons ...

19/01/12 15:01 Thu 12569 Kbps 4719 Kbps
14/01/12 19:01 Sat 21186 Kbps 4641 Kbps

Bt lite shows under 1 meg a lot of the time.

and speedtest ... http://speedtest.net/result/1747937391.png

As usual, nothing changed here. I'll see what gives tomorrow morning. Probably another glitch in the matrix ...

Cheers,

Rob

And ... this morning ... all is well again ...

http://speedtest.net/result/1748883227.png
tbb is 03/02/12 10:46 Fri 12773 Kbps 4726 Kbps

and BT lite shows 18.93 Mbps (via wireless g)

So, all I have done is switch the computer on. I have NOT touched the HH3 or BT modem ...

Anyone else see such a slow down?

Rob

I'm not in york but the manchester server often slows down for me so I always use others plus actual file downlaods. Never see drops in speed. I presume you tried other servers when manchester reported low speeds?

N adaptors are cheap enough now, I have a cheap (sub £10) TP-Link USB N adaptor on one PC and aswell as giving higher speeds it's more reliable than the old G adaptor. Maybe worth an upgrade although I don't think your G adaptor is the cause because the upstream is consistent.

EDIT
Just seen your other thread, deffo a problem with the line.
