Sounds like the BT person you were dealing with failed to order the line with a Linked Order Number
, (LORN), which when used with the Infinity order should cause a Simultaneous Provide, (SIM).
As I understand it, re the Sky order, they are simply not upgrading existing customers from LLU ADSL2+ to FTTC at the moment. Nor doing migrations in to FTTC from other ISPs. This could be a commercial or technical reason, I don't know. The technical reason would be a failure to get their computer system to process such orders yet.
It is also the case that not all Sky LLU-enabled exchanges have the necessary upgrade kit yet to accept FTTC connections.
