That's great, but that's a speed test.

You are sync'ing at 39997, 39998 or 39999/10000 kbps smile. IP Profiles 38.72/10Mbps.

The hub won't give you line stats, and the modem is locked down by BT so you can't go peeking to see what it's doing ...

It is quite easy to see what the modem is doing ... I can log on to mine in a couple of seconds.

Not everyone has the nerve, (in the sense of courage as opposed to cheek), to load the hacked firmware. Especially at day 1 smile.

I agree, not a good idea to load up the hacked firmware at the start of your contract. I suspect it would also invalidate your agreement as well (yes I know you can revert it).

If anyone ever gets mine they'll have fun. Totally different subnet. It isn't 192.168.1.anything.

A useful tip ...

You can stick a USB stick in the back of the Hub and use this as a chunk of network storage. This means that any machine of yours which connects to the hub can get and/or drop files to the stick. I have 6 machines with a desktop item to access the memory stick. I just bought a cheap 32 gig one (the 64 gigs were still too expensive to make it worth it), but 32 gigs is a useful amount!
