Online gaming and online video issues

[link to this post]

For some reason, If someone in the house is watching BBC player or 4od etc etc another person in the house cant play online games due to very high ping.

Thing is, the online video thats being watched, in this case ITV player is only downloading at between 70k and 210k a sec leaving another 600k ish left.

Thats plenty of bandwidth left but still watching an online video causes pings to sky rocket on any game.

Even QoS has not helped!

I need to fix this problem so does anyone have some ideas? Is it a BT issue? HH Issue?

What's happening to the upstream bandwidth?

Are they both using wireless connection to the router?

I know that you're using BT 8M, but what about its actual "throughputs, both downstream and upstream, and PINGs at the time of your problems??? It could be a typical BT's network congestion issues leaving you not having enough margins to play with though!!
