BT Infinity reset at 4.30am

[link to this post]

Had BT infinity now for 7 days.

Started with 9ms ping for first 4 days with no disconnects. 5th day at 4.30am connection is reset and ping now 18ms so I guess interleaving has kicked in.

Download\upload speeds have remain unchanged.

But, 6th & 7th days the connection has been reset at the same time in the morning.

I use the ECI modem with a Draytek 2920.

Is this normal? 4.30am?

No.

What time does your central heating come on - or possibly your neighbours?

It may be that DLM is making minor adjustments to your connection.
This is particularly likely in the early days of your connection.
It is common for DLM to force reconnections in the night when it decides to apply changes.
For me they have usually been at 2:00am; I don't know how it chooses the exact times.

Moved (with trepidation) to BT Infinity 2 for upload speed. Happy BE user for several years.

Thanks - I thought it maybe something along those lines. Only painful bit is the IP changes every time.

I see from you sig you were a happy BE user too. Almost 6 years for me of near flawless ADSL. Was a scary move to BT.

actually to me based on what I have read from others hit by DLM 4.30am seems about right for DLM and if your latency has doubled it probably is DLM.

If before then you believe your sync to have never gone down then it is probably due to excessive CRC error count.

BT Infinity 2 Since Dec 2012 - Estimate 65.9/20 - Attainable peak 110/36 - Current Sync 71/20
