Sky fibre to BT infinity

[link to this post]

Currently on Sky fibre and was thinking of moving over to BT to get the sport channel. How easy is this to do? I seem to remember reading about problems migrating from fibre to fibre?

I take it no engineer will be required, as I already have the fibre modem and would just need to plug in BT's router?

Engineer appointment shouldnt be necessary as there is a live VDSL connection already. Surely you will be in a contract with your Sky BB though? Hasnt been going for that long and the shortest term is 12 months on new connections.

Which bit of BT Sport are you after? I saw a Sky ad in the paper today about 43 fooball matches v 12 on BT? And they've still got F1, though BT have Motocross.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 53.4/16.8Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

I've had Sky Fibre since April 2012, so I'm out of contract. OP maybe in a similar position.

I had Sky Fibre Feb 2012 on the trial. It was released in March to the general public.
People ringing asking for fibre in Feb often got it too (even though it wasn't full released back then).

Hi Robert, that's the number of games up until the end of November. There are 38 games per season in total, but yes Sky Sports have way more games.

You can subscribe to BT Sport on your Skybox - no need to change ISP's.

Out of interest, has anybody successfully made the switch. Were there any problems?
