If i choose to watch online only is there an activation charge and does it lock me into a 12 month contract?
I am on Infinity 2.

My understanding is that there is no charge (activation or otherwise), but that it does lock you in to a new 12 month contract. I'd be pleased if someone who has actually gone through the process can confirm that, though.

Moved (with trepidation turned relief) to BT Infinity 2 for upload speed. Happy BE user for several years.

Yes, I'm hesitant to even try and log on to the web (or download an app) as I do NOT want to risk extending my contract. (as I want to get away from the concept of subsidising sport with my broadband subscription).

No - watching BT Sport via an App or via your web browser does not require you to enter into a new minimum contract period. It actually says 'no need for new contract' on the order summary page before you press accept.

Read the 'legal stuff' here - the 12 month extension references only apply to BT TV viewing.

Until of course ISPs block it for copyright infringement, as they have done with First Row Sports.

Can't see it happening. I've yet to see anything supposedly blocked that I cannot still access. Most Vipbox streams are no more than links to Justin.tv or some Chinese site, where such practice is actively encouraged, along with fake goods.

That is neither news or vipbox, and judging by my browser, there is far more important things to concentrate on.

So what makes vipbox so much different from First Row Sports?
