Home Hub 4 Line Stats

[link to this post]

Just acquired the BT Home Hub 4 for my BT ADSL connection (NOT Infinity).
Line stats appear not to be visible other than Downstream/Upstream Speeds. Hub has latest firmware.
Are the full stats accessible? (As they are on Hub2 and Hub3)

Not even noise margin or line attenuation?

You can get a bit more than the basic info, but it's a bit of a faff...

Log in to the router and go to "Troubleshooting", choose "Event Log", and Category "WAN". You'll find something like this from the last time your line synched:

22:04:23, 09 Aug. ( 105.560000) DSL is up
22:04:22, 09 Aug. ( 104.640000) DSL noise margin: 5.90 dB upstream, 6.00 dB downstream
22:04:21, 09 Aug. ( 103.730000) DSL line rate: 1151 Kbps upstream, 14616 Kbps downstream

From September 2001 on BTopenworld Home 500/Home 1000/Home 2000. Then ADSLMax on <n>ildram. Moved to ADSL2+ from ADSL24. I'm now with plusnet. I'm not saying who I work for. Any opinions expressed here are my own.

In reply to a post by athegn:
OK Thanks

The modem has the information, not the HomeHub (unless you get the new 5).

You can get the data from the modem, but you have to unlock it, and thats only easy if you have a Huawei one.
