BT Sport HD - NOT free

[link to this post]

I signed up to BT Infinity2 thinking BT Sport was free.

What they do not make clear is that you only get non-HD free.
HD is another £3 a month. Nowhere in the signup process was
I asked if I wanted HD nor was it made clear in the order
acknowledgement email that I was not getting HD.

I've cancelled.

I can see it on this page http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/products/broad...
Where it says "BT Sport is free with BT Broadband and BT Infinity broadband" you press the "See More" button which says
The BT Sport pack includes

BT Sport 1
BT Sport 2
ESPN

All available in HD for £3 a month

Is that for viewing on a TV receiver or viewing online?

Oliver.

This will be via a TV receiver as there is no concept of HD on the online viewer, it runs just as fast as the line will sustain, don't know the maximum bitrate but seems to run at around 2Mbps with higher bursts for me.

Speed test done just after screen grab (stream closed)

Football is not a nice thing to encode on the fly, the grass loses definition and the pans where the crowd is involved can be real messy if bit rate is not high enough.
