Download/Upload stats

[link to this post]

I am due to be connected to Fibre this afternoon, moving from AAISP.

As some of you know, AAISP has some graphs showing you the download & upload speed.

Does BT offer the same thing? If not, does the BT Hub v5 allow me to pull stats to generate the graphs? (i.e. SNMP)

Thanks,

No SNMP on the HH5 or the HG612
Router Stats might be of interest. The developer is found lurking on this sitesmile

You need RouterStatsHub5a for the HH5

Thanks, but a quick look only tell me that it's useful for general info, and does not log all incoming & outgoing graphs, i.e. monthly bandwidth usage.

I can't check it as I am at work so will give it a try tonight.

Thanks

Sorry, yes you're right. I meant to type 'bandwidth', rather than 'speed'.

Bandwidth is the same as speed.

Try "allowance" smile. Or just "usage".

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 59.4/14.4Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

On the installation day an engineer should install a modem, either a ECI or a HG612. Though he may not as you have a HH5 but I would request you use the supplied modem from Openreach(request the Engineer to install the modem he brought) and the HH5 to handle the PPPoE connection.

If you get a HG612 you can unlock it and use either bald_eagles program or Roseway (DSLStats) to monitor your connection.

You can find the Instructions to unlock the HG612 here, it's on the right pane and there might be some more useful Information as well on there.

There is also a new up-to date firmware, which can be found here.

I don't have much time at the minute but all the ones mentioned in the above topic should have a download link in this topic somewhere, here. I don't have the time to go through and individual post them at the minute but I will add them If I remember later.

The newer firmware is a lot better than the previous firmware, at least for me and the majority of others I believe.
