Anytime call query

Not with BT for calls myself, but a friend gets charged for the total call length when the 60 minutes are exceeded. i was always under the impression you were just charged for the excess over and above the 60 minute allowance. Is this a new charge.

No, it been like this for ages, BT did warn peoples under T&C's if any calls of more than 60 mins will be charged. Your friend should redial after 59 minutes to avoid any further charges!

Many thanks. Actually she is switching to EE Orange (EE) Unlimited BB and Calls and 1,000 mobile minutes for £26 00, discounted for the first three months. I don't have the 60 min limit with Zen, the only company that way as far as I know.

Zen Home Talk Plus 5,000 inclusive anytime minutes to 01, 02, 03, 0845 & 0870 numbers (once the 5,000 minutes are up, you be charged) but I am not sure if 5,000 minutes are reset every month or once a year?

I might consider this Zen Home Talk Plus as it far cheaper than BT Line Rental @ £15.99 plus Unlimited Anytime Calls @ £7.00 totally cost per month @ £22.99. So, Zen Home Talk Plus would cost me just £17.35 (a good bargain)

! get the 5,000 minutes per month for not much more than BT line rental, with no 60 min limit to calls. Line rental with Zen is only £11:22 with no tie-in or call connection charge and per second billing. Unbeatable.

Yes you are correct. Thanks for this. I never knew of this. I will be seriously consider moving away from rip off BT to Zen and further more, Zen is great UK support than BT rubbish indian call centre.

At the moment I still under contract with BT until April 2014 (because I took out line rental saver advance)
