Cabling question ?

[link to this post]

I'm due to be hooked up to Infinity 2 on the 16th May.
Currently my master socket is in the hallway and has an ADSL V1.0 faceplate on. I have a 40 ft length of CAT5 cable connected to the internal extension point of the faceplate which runs to an upstairs room socket to which my router is connected.
I'm assuming I will need the faceplate replacing but do you think the engineer will be ok using my existing CAT5 extension cable ?

Thanks for the reply Andrew. Put my mind at rest as I spent ages running the cable to keep it hidden smile

BT Engineer (sub contractor) had no issues with my own installation of Cat 5 cable. In fact he was pleased as I'd saved him a job!
