Can't log in to my BT to check my bill

Posting on behalf of my mum, who has been trying all week to log into her BT account so she can check her bill.
I have just tried on my PC with her login details and experienced exactly the same as her :-

Error 500--Internal Server Error

Anyone shed any light on it ?

I've been on there today with no problem. Erase all temp files and cookies and try again. Another browser (Chrome) might get you through when IE doesn't.

As it happens today is the first ever time I have tried to login on that site, so clearing temp files and cookies probably won't help !!
I've tried 3 browsers with the same result. IE being the spawn of the devil only got tried as a last resort.
I'm on talktalk and live 10 miles from my mum.

Not that it helps your mum, but working fine here in the latest versions of IE, Chrome and Opera, though loading one's personal details at its usual snail's pace. However, while clearing cookies and the cache can occasionally help, a 500 error is an error on the server end, i.e. BT's end. Though it is unusual that it is hitting you and your mum but not others. The only other thing I would suggest is contacting them directly about it, but good luck in getting someone who understand smile.

I've already warned her when she phones up that she'll be speaking with "Derek" or some other very English name but a VERY non-English accent.
