Homehub 3 connection problem

[link to this post]

I'm on ADSL with a HH3 and normal download speed is around 12.5Mbps and upload 0.87Mbps.
Every couple of days (sometimes daily) the speed down drops to under 2Mbps but the upload reamains OK at about 0.67Mbps.

It can happen at various times but usually around 10 11pm.

Usually rebooting brings things back to normal (sometimes I have to reboot twice).

It did it a short while ago and even after the second reboot the download is slow
http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3731965686

If I do nothing else it's usually fine in the morning and can be OK all day until late at night.

Seems odd to me an I'm wondering if the router is at fault.

Start be downloading RouterStatsHub http://www.vwlowen.co.uk/RouterStatsHub/routerstatsh...

Run it for a day to monitor the SNR and Sync speeds - see what that shows.

If it happens at the same time (approx) then a Hub fault is unlikely.

If you have an unlocked HG612 modem for FTTC then there is are similar program to RouterStats. See http://www.kitz.co.uk/routers/hg612stats.htm and quite a few threads on this forum.

I know the HH5 provides similar information, I don't know if anyone has written a stats collection program for it.
If you have a locked modem then the information is not available to you.

RouterStats Hub 5A does it for FTTC connections.
