BT Fibre install question

[link to this post]

I have fibre install booked for next week but already with Plusnet, does the engineer still come out and fit a new filter or is it just done at cabinet because when I was with fibre provider before plusnet they just changed at cabinet(changing my number in the process which I didnt want) and I never got a new filter plate.

Installs even if a brand new fibre service are usually self-install now, so all you should expect is the HomeHub 5 in the post.

Depending on what you asked for, it is possible for the engineer to visit you. If you are with PlusNet on adsl and the faceplate needs a facelift they will do it. Usually you get an appointment slot when a visit is needed.
