bt broadband to infinity help

[link to this post]

Hi, I have a query that I posted in the fibre section, people have tried to help me there, but I was recommended to ask here to. As I am new I am not sure on the etiquitte of duplicate posts, so here is a link to my query in the fibre section:

It's frowned upon, but I'm sure you'll be cut some slack being a noobie. smile

Having read the other thread, I'd guess you have a duff Hub5, since it won't connect to ADSL whereas the Hub 3 will.

Sit tight, use the 3 for now, then try with the 5 on Monday. If no joy at close of play Monday, then be brave and ring BT Broadband.

It should be apparent when the connection to FTTC has been made, you'll see the 3 drop out, then not come back.

Thank you for your reply, might see if I can get hold of another HH5 somewhere.

Nah, get a Huawei HG612 v3B - much better. And you can use it to front-end the HH5.
