Spam level increasing

[link to this post]

Has anyone noticed the sudden dramatic increase in spam getting through the BT spam filter. I am now getting over a 100 a day spam emails which are not being filtered.
I also note that for a while on 01/12/15 at about 8am all out going email posts from any BT/BTO ip addresses were being blocked by
195.245.230.39 GERMANY FRANKFURTNETWORK1, MESSAGELABS LIMITED 1270 Lansdowne Court, Gloucester Business Park, GL3 4AB, GLOUCESTER, UNITED KINGDOM V
I wonder if there was ddos attack on them

I wouldn't know, I use our own mail server that has a reasonable spam filter, I do get the odd one once and a while, last one I got was 3 weeks ago.

I will have to check my parents (owner of line) mail box, I think one of them "might" have a BT Mailbox.

Poor spam filters are commonly mentioned on BT's official forum. The general consensus is that Openwave, who handle mail for BT, don't have a clue.
