BT Trials?

[link to this post]

Does anyone know how I can become a trialist for BT....

I wouldn't mind trying to get a trial on 3db profile, and interested in the Hub 6 too!

Cheers smile

What product are you on? WBC defaults to 6dB as always but now drops to 3dB after a while if DLM is happy with the line.

Complete the survey. Once you have noted what you may be interested in testing/trying out the trail team will send you an email when a trial fitting your details comes up. Again you will have to fill in a more specific trial survey and then hopefully you get picked.

Which trails are being trialled? tongue wink

Surely the 3dB noise margin is now mainstream, as I posted?

What makes you think that the 3dB noise margin is now mainstream on FTTC?

I thought it was still being tested - and that's also what BTW told ISPs earlier this month.

Just we have seen many reports of it on here over several months.

In any case I would expect it to be by MSAN, not by line. None of those reporting getting it have said anything about being on a trial. Sounds more like pilot rollouts if it is still testing smile.

Openreach is running the trial using 40/50k lines. Before that they carried out a proof of concept trial on around 150 lines.

It is on a per line basis as the ISPs need to agree - but they don't need to inform end users in turn.

Cheers will have a look later, there seems to be an issue right now getting past the first page, firefox throwing up a failed secure connection message.

That site is mostly for like

testing homephones and mobile trials

people don't get to pick broadband trials with openreach unless you're in an area conducting it and they usually contact you via post or through your isp.
