Sync getting lower every few days

[link to this post]

Hi all,

I had a BT hub 5 and I tried a 3rd party router but sync were less than the hub 5 so I sent it back and got a Hub 6 from BT but speeds are dropping..

I am getting 51meg out of a maximum rate of 50539 and upload was 14meg until it rebooted itself today and now its fell to 12meg of a maximum of 12148

I also checked the BT checker and it gave me these estimates -

High Low High Low
VDSL Range A (Clean) 62 44.8 17.8 12.1
VDSL Range B (Impacted)49 27.4 14.8 6.8

So it would seem my line is going towards the impacted speeds

I am using the master socket with no extensions present

Or has DLM kicked in since I was swapping routers and cables

Could be a mixture of the DLM and the HomeHub 6 does not have the worlds reputation for sync speeds, if the sync on the home hub 5 was good probably worth going back to that.

Depends, my homehub 5B had a much lower attainable rate than my 5A, with a much worse noise margin (5db worse). The hub 6 shows same attainable as my 5A give or take a couple of Mbps.

So if they had a 5B in my experience I'd suggest sticking to the 6A.

I get full sync so I only have the attainable to go by.

Thanks for the reply Andrew, My hub 5 was getting 54meg still a good bit lower than the estimated speed

My hub 5 was the B type
