BT and iPhone

[link to this post]

I feel I should know the answer - however, since changing my phone provider to BT (I have broadband with them) because it was cheap, callers don't leave voicemails on the phone, I have to retrieve via 1471, which is a pain. Can this be fixed?

Last report I saw BT don't support visual voicemail. It is odd because EE do.

EDIT : Apple's website confirms BT don't support Visual Voicemail. O2 and EE seem to be the only UK operators that do support visual voicemail.

1471, or 1571?

Does the second reply here give anything useful?

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. Sync 64513/13170Kbps @ 600m. BQMs - IPv4 & IPv6

Yep, and I really wish they would start to allow WiFi calling too as EE do, a really useful feature.

Very useful - especially as I sit in an office that has no mobile signals at all (despite 4G just outside the building). WiFi calling is the only reason I can get any signal at work...

Thanks. Looks like I'm stuck with the awful BT answering system (and no useful red dot) unless I transfer.

Probably 1571. The other pointers you gave were informative but not of help. Stuck with the naff BT system for now. Thanks.

The HulloMail app is the best alternative (there is a free version with a few adverts or a paid one without). Not quite as convenient as Visual VoiceMail, but still a much better alternative to 1571

Yep, very useful indeed. Zip signal in my house either, and me last place wasn't much better either.
