What were the results of the test and what is your IP profile? And, what does BTs DSL checker say for your line?

If the speedtest was done either through the SmartHub or on the main BT website it automaticly logs a fault for some reason. If that's the case just ignore it

I think BT also periodically do checks, due to when I was on ADSL2+ using the BT Hub4 we would have faults reported all the time and none of them at the time were by me.

As for the BT Speedtest via the Smart Hub or from the BT Site, neither of those work for me and never have done, they all fail, they same happens for the BT Wholesale Speed Test, this is due to having the phone line via FVA.

BT are aware of this for over a year now and its still broken for me, so I guess BT don't care, its no Biggy its just a speed test.

I wonder why it doesn't work though Paul, as the speed test part no longer uses the phone number. AIUI it even works on non-BT Wholesale lines.

Only the Further Diagnostics require the phone number, but the postcode + hose number or the Circuit Service ID ought to work.

I like this further demonstration of BT Wholesale's lack of understanding of English wink:- "For broadband circuits delivered into your premises using fibre wires ....".

At least they don't say "premise", which is being used far too frequently on these forums, on the Main Site, and elsewhere on other sites about UK broadband.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. 200GB. Sync 72313/12530Kbps @ 600m. BQMs - IPv4 & IPv6

I did a speed test and now I have:

Open fault
Description: Broadband-Save Progress

Would not carry out auto checks because I am not using a HH.

I do not have any problems, I was just checking settings and speed.
