How many homes can an Infinity FTTC cabinet support?

How many homes/connections can a BT FTTC cabinet support. If the PCP has say 700 connections is that too many for a single FTTC cabinet?

I'm sure some one will provide exact numbers but from memory small cabinets are about ~120 and largest just under 300 lines.

It seems BT don't make the provision for close to 100% take up, which as FTTC more often than not over laps Virgin Media is possible wise and saves money. However in areas where there is no alt-net this limited capacity could mean big problems in the future.

The original cabinets are 288, and the small ones 128.
