BTWholesale ADSL2+

[link to this post]

Hi,

My exchange has been enabled for BT 21CN for some time now, but how do I know if my line is using the frequencies of ADSL2+ and not the normal ADSL Max? The highest speeds I can acheive currently is around 3-4mbps.

The modem will list a G.992.1 for ADSL, G.992.3 for ADSL2 or G.9992.5 for ADSL2+

If syncing at 3 to 4Mbps then unlikely to be gaining from ADSL2+, possibly a slight gain due to better maths in ADSL2 that is all.

If your upstream is still 448Kbps then probably still on the old IPStream hardware. With WBC they let you have higher upstream.

Surely G.9992.5 would be ADSL22+?
