Question about Cable Laying

[link to this post]

There are some workmen laying a thick black cable, with what looked like a green stripe on it near me. They were laying this cable down BT man hole covers on the path.

No BT vans about tho.

What could this be?

It was on Mold Road in Pontblyddyn if that's of any help.

A little like this?
http://www.farina1.com/fibre/wgc_media/source/IMG_43...

Then if so its the outer fibre tube that then has the smaller fibre tubes the fibre is blown down inside it

Green is the colour of cable. Yellow is the colour of BT cable junctions or fibre. If it had green tracers on it, it wasn't BT.
