USC and State Aid

[link to this post]

Will USC work qualify for State Aid - if the work is not implementing for Superfast and it's not leading to a fibre rollout, how can it?

Also what are these USC Premiums I hear posters going on about: how much are they, are they applicable to all projects and in what form do they come?

Well a modicum of research shows that basic broadband improvements do qualify for State Aid explicitly. They don't even have to deliver a step change, as projects in areas with 2-24Mbps do.

Still not sure what these USC Premiums are though.

USC premium is not a phrase I recognise from NAO/PAC or the snippets of contracts I've seen, maybe its a product of the armchair accountants
