BT are putting in power cable from local street to new fibre cabinet as part of the build process. The power joint is going to be quite a way from the cabinet at a junction across a main road down past another main junction with the main road and to the cabinet. Seems odd that the power junction is coming from so far away when there are other streets nearer!

Power feeds are under control of local power company who will specific where the feed will come from, other streets may not be suitable due to existing load etc
