Demon LLU Ping times and packet loss

[link to this post]

Anybody noticed if their ping times have shot up today. Pinging www.bbc.co.uk used to be 15 to 16 ms with no packet loss but today its about 50 to 52 ms and there is random packet loss. Router stats seem ok and there are no CRC errors.

Nothing on their status page or twitter feed.

I've noted the same slow ping times, but not packet loss. Speedtest also shows Demon network is very slow today (0.5Mbps when I usually get 12-14Mbps here).

Where are you?

There are issues on the underlying C&W network today affecting some people.

Upton Park Exchange in London. Was ok about 2-3 o'clock Sunday morning just before I turned in for the night. When I tried at about 12 mid-day noticed downloading was slow and then did the ping tests. Tried to play World of Warcraft but it's a nightmare.

We've determined location does not matter.

Appears to have started at 10:23am. We have raised as a priority one fault but oddly they state there is no fault, we have escalated accordingly but would suggest you do the same with Demon.
