Editing the Exif Data

Does anyone know any, preferably free, software which is able to add the title of a picture to the exif data in the picture file. I confess I am not even sure this is possible and Google has not been a great deal of help.

Try googling for exif editor. Lots of them, most free.

If you have Aperture I am pretty sure you can do that under the metadata tab and then Exif expanded but I am not at home at present so don't have access to the program. Of course you'd need Aperture already. I assume you'd be able to do it with other photo programs so you might be able to find a freebie one somewhere.

Thank you for the replies. Was a bit busy to revisit the forum. But I have now and I have downloaded lots of interesting possibilities. - I now also need to find out more about IPTC data.
