Plug it in?

Try another machine and copy if yours doesn't work.

Camcorder has DV Output

You will need firewire (DV) cable to connect to PC for Video.
Get cheap PCI card if no firewire port on PC

I don't see why it's my fault that you don't know the difference between Firewire and USB. The advice I gave was perfectly sensible if the connection was USB as you claimed.

I take it you have checked that the PC has a Firewire connection.

Poster stated USB on PC , I suggested DV cable
A Firewire card and cable cost £7. Moviemaker, inbuilt in windows ,7 should automatically see camcorder on play.
This was easiest and simplest solution.

OP said "It has a USB connection to PC."

It surely refers to the camcorder.

If he has tried to plug a mini usb plug into the mini firewire socket it may be rather moot.

You are correct. Shot myself in the foot again
Should have explained why I suggested firewire in first post
The camcorder has USB and Firewire as standard connectors (only USB cable supplied with unit), I should have stated this in my first reply.
That was why I suggested going the firewire route.

I didn't look up the model details, just took the OP at face value.

I have just looked and there is indeed a usb output.

Perhaps the OP has mislaid or not installed the driver for the PC end.

A google search suggests it can be found here.

http://www.toggle.com/lv/software/download/kl568664.htm

Probably first thing to try is to download the driver and plug in a usb cable.
