Lightroom4 and iMacs

[link to this post]

have a pal with

1 ) an iMac - he describes it as 2nd Gen Intel with 2GB RAM running i ~think ~ Snow Leopard
2 ) a MacBook also on Snow Leopard

He has downloaded Lightroom 4 and installed it on the MacBook and it's running well

He downloaded it on the iMac an got an error message telling him it wouldn't run on that.

Anyone got any ideas ?

Lightroom 4 is not supported on 32 bit processor mac's is probably why. I know LR 4 is compatible only with 64 bit chips.
