Not legally as it is Sky's property AFAIK.

Sky routers are the customers' property.

I think you may be incorrect. If you look on their terms & conditions, it says they remain the property of Sky

Also from Kitz:
Remember that the router remains the property of Sky, so they do have the right to request that you return the router to them. Their T+Cs suggest that if you cancel the service, then you must keep the router safe for up to 6 months during which time they can contact you to arrange return of the router.

Quite the opposite, it says: "Your Wireless Router (except the software in it) will become your property on installation if you choose Home Installation, or on delivery if you choose Self Install".

It seems to have changed since I signed up, the terms I have hanging around seem to imply you need to hold onto it as they can ask for it back.

Might try logging into the website and seeing if it serves me the terms I got when I signed up.

Thanks but that isnt helpful. Thats more about finding out what your sky username and password is so you can use another router.

I want to be able to change the username and password so i can log on to a different isp

You'd need to find an original, non-Sky firmware for that unit. Quite a few people were able to do this with the original white Sky Netgear router, but since the rest *look* to have been custom made for sky, I assume original non-sky firmware's don't exist.
