[link to this post]

I'm looking for the best cable router (no modem)

for 40-60

I want wireless N 150 minimum with decent coverage using G

nothing else but QOS would be nice

just an easy to use interface.

Hi, the most powerful wireless router I have experienced other than my boosted 2Wire 2700HGV version1 to 400mW is a 3Com, the company now owned by Hewlett Packard.

Go £70 and get a HP V110 Cable/DSL Wireless-N Router.

This router is easy to setup and has the most pleasing interface I have used.

And it has QoS settings http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quality_of_service

Best as in technically superb? Or best as in pretty good but not too expensive, ie best compromise between cost and capabilities and quality?

I think you mean the latter smile.

I think he wants to spend between 40-60 squids, so the best one that costs up to that.

I'd be wary about Lambda-tek. some time ago, I was after a particular monitor, but they would only sell one on a 'business transaction basis', i.e. no protection under the Sales of Goods Act. IMHO they give cowboys a bad name.

You should copy-write that (if it hasn't already been done), as it would look good on a T-shirt tongue smile

Reminds me of a van I heard of once.

The side read, "The Patel brothers. You have tried the cowboys, now try the Indians". It still makes me ROTFLMFAO to this day.

Aren't HP getting completely out of hardware, as per IBM? I believe that is why they dropped their tablet so quickly.
