Netgear DG834v4 Firmware And Windows 7

I am running the latest 5.0.16 firmware and im still getting Evend ID 1014 drops ever since i updated from vista to windows 7. If i update to the latest network adaptor driver it freezes everything.

Is this ethernet or wireless?

Its a wired connection and had no problems with vista. The event id 1014 drops all apparent since W7 installed.

Would appear to offer some help.

Beyond the 1014 in the event logs is anything else untoward happening?

sounds more likely to be down to your network adapter i use a netgear dg834 win win7 sp1 without any of the issues you are getting, but my config is probably different, my pc has a static ip dhcp is off at the router as is not required for me, dns servers are in the router not the pc, pc points to router ip for dns,

Ok thanks chaps will borrow another router to see if its that and then try adaptor card as current is on MB.

I note that, in Mr Saffron's 2nd link, someone mentions disabling IPv6 fixed his 1014 problem.

A couple of days ago I had very slow initial frame response to any site using Win7.
Knowing my ISP doesn't handle IPv6 I checked my local connection, disabled IPv6, and found the delays fixed.

For what its worth.
