Has any one managed to get vpn working on a dgnd3300?
If so how?

What are you trying to do - dial-in to your DGN from a remote location?
I don't think dgn's do that.

Are you using the NETGEAR ProSafe VPN client on your remote PC?

No as its been discontinued as far as I can find.
I've tryed windows 7 built-in vpn, android , iPhone and shrew soft vpn to connect with no luck

Thanks, I've seen the manual but not the iphone one.
Though it mentions users and passwords that the 3300 doest support.

I knew I should have got a 7800N!

It looks like you need to do an IPSEC connection. I think the built-in wizard should set up all the rules for you, you just need to use the pre-shared key.

you would hope so.
on the openswan wiki it says that it doent set it up properly and it's recommended to do it manually!

Though id update this - the problem is that the router doesnt assign a virtual IP so this needs to be setup correctly in the VPN client.
I've also now set it all up to use DNS for the auths..
