Fritz!Box 7390 v Draytek 2850

[link to this post]

Looking for some help between these 2 units as a replacement for current hardware we use for managed clients.

With a Draytek its very easy to add multiple LAN IP ranges, allowing a mix of 192.168.* IPs and a range of public IPs, as an example....literally a 5 minute job.

What I can't find is a similar ability with Fritz!box. All screenshots I have found of the GUI seem to miss this feature (if it exists).

Does anyone know if Fritz!box 7390 makes this possible?

I did look at the link, but the site appears just to be full of placeholders.

Ahh. The forum is too new, it seems. I suppose one could ask a question there and get the ball rolling. I'm looking at a 7390 as a possible future option myself, but that's a while down the road.

Yep. The best site, if you've the time and bear in mind it's Aussie is http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum/82?g=295 , but don't limit yourself to the specifically UK (overseas) thread which is probably the least technically useful for your queries.

Does this thread help with your initial query? http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1...

It seems that the Fritz! is notoriously poor for customisation options, unless perhaps you get into the Freetz German language hacking software.

We see things not as they are, but as we are .

I was considering a Fritz! when I was on ADSL2+. I emailed asking about chipsets and they replied with some stupid attempt at being funny about Britishness and chips (the fish n' chips type).

Stress - the condition brought about by having to resist the temptation to beat the living daylights out of someone who richly deserves it.
