DMT & TG582N (BeBox II)

Hi Everyone

I just got a new router from BE, the TG582N, which is synching higher than my original v585v6. (I was using DMT to lower the SNR to 1.5 dB and getting 18.2Mb downstream, now getting 18.5db downstream with new box with a 3db profile)

My question - is there a version of DMT that be used with the TG582N - I have looked, but not found one. Although in a post here in April someone found a version of DMT that worked (see http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/dslrouter/f/4117228...

Thanks for any reply; I just wanted to try lower the SNR a little more as my line is very stable even at 1db

Use the same version of DMT that you use on the 585v6, it is the only version that works. However, none of the fields will populate (except the chipset info) as its command set is different to that of the 585v6. You can however enter any command on the right hand side under the second tab I believe.

You won't be able to tweak the SNRM as Technicolor have purposely crippled this feature.

Ah, well happy with 3db anyway.

Further to my comments, I've now switched to 'Gaming Mode' which has increased my speed from 18.558 to 19.707mb, to well happy, I'll forget about the DMT tool.
